about
The idea for this song was partly took from statistics showing that in countries like Japan, there is less motivation for men to be in romantic and sexual relationships for various worrying reasons and an increasing emotional disconnect in some societies between men and women as some men have turned to robots, A.I or internet for fake connection or instant gratification. So the lyrics depict someone falling for an imaginary person or robot in a dystopian setting, with abrasive industrial fuzz rock to set the not-so-romantic scene.
lyrics
(Verse1)
Would you say anything I need you to say?
Would you leave every time I need you to leave?
Never should I have summoned you,
I can't tell me dreams from what is true
(Pre-chorus1)
You're invisible
How did I feel you when you're not real?
(Chorus)
On the edge of paradise,
A colouring of your sweet black eyes,
Sweeter than your sickly lies
(Verse2)
Was that you that touch me,
Was that really you?
Would you say anything I need you to say?
Would you be anything I need you to be?
Every time we try to work it out,
You put too much candy in my mouth
(Pre-chorus2)
You're so wonderful,
How can I feel you when you're not real?
(Chorus)
On the edge of paradise,
A colouring of your sweet black eyes,
Sweeter than your sickly lies
My, my love
(Pre-chorus3)
You're so beautiful
How can I tell you that you're not real?
(Chorus)
On the edge of paradise,
A colouring of your sweet black eyes,
Sweeter than your sickly lies

Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
This album is sublime. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something mellow (or looking for something to run in the background as you do focused work). Fuzzy the Amazing Sloth Rider
