about
Serve You True desperately tries to be a musical homage to idols and good people that lead by example with principles and virtue, like a philosopher would idolise Socrates or Aristotle. But when you realise that sadly, many role models are not as principled as initially thought, or they’re idolised for shallow reasons, the lyrics and instrumentation almost becomes abrasively sarcastic towards the end.
lyrics
VERSE1
Here I am here to serve, serve you, I shall serve you true
As a friend as deserved, serve you, I shall serve you true, I won’t let you down
Oooooh
Oooooh
VERSE2
As we walk over hell, I’ll gaze in the flower maze
Cause your soul is beautiful, theres a garden in your head,
Worries there they tread
Oooooh there they tread
Oooooh in your head
VERSE3
When all eyes look away, I’ll stay right here we’re okay
I will fight just for you, I’ll bleed perfumed probity,
May the blind finally see
So your loyalty is just a dumb tattoo,
Love is just another quote for you,
Pretend you love your friends cause that’s a lifestyle too
Time to tear the walls down, and you might crumble too.

Big, clanging psych-rock from this Arizona outfit fuses monk-like vocals with slow-winding guitars for songs that feel like strange hymns. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2016
This album is sublime. Highly recommend it if you're looking for something mellow (or looking for something to run in the background as you do focused work). Fuzzy the Amazing Sloth Rider
